Biography
Stephanie Tijmes was born on November 7, 1991 in Alkmaar (the Netherlands). She began gymnastics at the age of 5. Her first club was TV Victory Nederland, where she was coached by Mark and Ilona de Wit.

When her coach Mark was arrested in March 2004, TV Victory had to close.

Stephanie decided to continue her gymnastics career at Pro Patria Zoetermeer, where she was coached by Frank Louter and Patrick Kiens.

All the hard work paid off in 2007. Stephanie was first reserve for the European championships. But because Petra Witjes injured herself, Stephanie was on the team. She placed 31st with a score of 54,325. A fall from beam kept her away from the AA final.

In November 2007 Stephanie quit at Pro Patria and she is currently training at TSH Heerenveen, where she is coached by Gerben Wiersma.
